It’s an 88 with 91 k miles on it, 45k of it was flat towed behind an RV. Never off-road, owned by an elderly gentleman. I looked forever for a FJ 40 but people want too much for them. Plus it would be hard to mash the thing into rocks now that they are becoming so rare. I will have no problem hurting this one. Plus no problem flat towing this sucker behind the 80. I won’t even have to change my tires when towing like Rich does. This will be fun.:D

Congrats!

Let the mods begin...!

Look forward to the detailed buildup.

those things look so cool when lifted... have fun:beer:

Ran into one of those things mildly modded last year coming down off Sheep Canyon.

Have fun with it Tare.

Sammies are fantastic crawlers! By the way, I can tow the 40 even with the 35's on...it just goes slower (Thank goodness for the SC). Congrats on a clean buy. You might want to hook up with Kirk in the So Cal chapter, he has a Sammy with a 4.3l GM V6.

Congratulations Tare. Cool little Sami, those things are amazingly capable on the trail. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

I used to have a built sami. I loved it. Come to think of it, I don't know why I ever sold that thing.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing what you do with it!

ohh that looks adictive......

I’ve been amazed by the aftermarket support for these things. 6 to 1 kits, coil suspensions you name it it’s out there, plus the stuff is cheap. Rich I remember talking with the Kirk at our Calico run and checking out his green Sami. I will definitly be calling on his expertise.

That thing is sweet, Tare!

I've been so tempted to buy one of those on several occasions. Next to Scouts, they're probably the best deal in trail vehicles.

Thanks Dan I am very happy with the purchase. It's still in Sac.town till I figure out how to get it down here. They are still a smokin' deal but for how much longer?

Congratulations, Tare. Like the others, I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
