My name is Fabrice Vanegas and I'm part of the Off Road Costa Rica team. If any of you folks are considering a vacation in this neck of the woods, I strongly suggest you look us up.

My name is Ted Horwitz and I own Off Road Adventures Costa Rica. We are a safari tour company based in Tamarindo Costa Rica. We buy and restore FJ40 and BJ40 Toyota Land Cruisers and we are the only company licensed in Costa Rica that allows customers to drive their own Land Cruiser on our guided tours.

We offer day/evening trips, custom safari trips and three – five day Land Cruiser Safari trips. Our trips include superb 4x4 driving, river crossings, mud, spectacular views, twisting jungle trails (with monkeys of course!), winching, beach driving and stops at small Costa Rican towns. Our guides are trained naturalists and are not only experts at identifying all the flora and fauna, but they love what they do and are fun to be with. We stop at spectacular private beaches and break out the sea kayak, boogie boards and snorkeling equipment. We may do some light hiking depending on the client’s mood and we will show them the famed Indiana Jones Bullwhip Moves (yes we really do bring bullwhips on our tours! If it was good enough for Indiana Jones, it is good enough for us.)
We stay at smaller, nice hotels and jungle lodges. We have taken a page from the heydays of the best of African safaris (think Ernest Hemmingway). These adventurers knew that the perfect balance to a day of trekking, hiking and hunting was a comfortable bed with thick linen sheets, a warm fire and a good martini. Well, we can’t let you hunt (Costa Rican government frowns on that for some reason) but we will be sure you have the luxurious bedding and the perfect wine or drink to end your day. We'll even round up some Cuban cigars if that is your preference (seeing how they are legal here in Costa Rica)
We would love to be included on your links page or perhaps be displayed as a banner ad. We are a small company of off road enthusiasts and we are looking to get the word out to other 4x4 lovers that there is a great way to discover Costa Rica in your own FJ40 & BJ40 Land Cruiser.
