@1sar39 not sure if you're still on here, but just checking in to see how well your trailer is holding up
Hey, yeah, its holding up just fine. The cheap tractor paint i used sucks (not peeling just gets chalky) and probably need to replace the battery... Besides that, the only thing I replaced was the cheap Amazon roof vent fan for a MaxFan. I should probably look into the galley hatch hinge, too. It let's a little bit of water in during a hard rain. A paper towel and all is good. Not bad considering i built it in my garage.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate the information and plan to start my own build hopefully in the next month or so. Glad to hear it's going well

What's up brotha, we have pretty similar backgrounds. I was with HoustonPD from 2007-2011, retired from there and went into project management at a steel fab company. Doing Quality Management for them now. Anyways, I am in the middle of designing my build using steel framing as you did. What kind of hinge do you think you might swith to? I was looking into the hurricane hinge as I wasn't really sure about the waterproofing on piano hinges. Let me know if you get chance, the build looks great!

Hey! Right on, man! Thats awesome. Definitely a fun career and miss it at times. Don't miss the 16hr days, 4 days in a row bs. What kind of steel fab do you guys do?

Thanks, it was a fun build. The piano hinge was a bad idea. I was being cheap and thought waterproof it somehow. I put Bituthene flashing tape over it and it worked ok for a while, but it eventually broke down and failed. Hurricane hinge would be the way to go. I probably end up doing that in the future.

Enjoy the project! Looking forward to see what you build.
