OEM Window seals

Hi all, just about to install new window seals in my FJ40 build.
The seals are coated in a grease or silicon out of the Toyota packaging and I just want to know if it should be cleaned of before installing.
They would be easier to install with the grease still on them, but I am just not sure. Appreciate your help if you have experience in this area. Cheers

Don't know what the grease is, but I would leave it on. Often people use a silicone grrease on the rubber to help it slide in place. It may also serve to protect the rubber a bit.

It could be mold release left over from production. Anything slick should aid in installation so I wouldn't worry.
