I'm normally a devout Toyota OEM parts kind of guy... I'm surprised I don't receive personal Christmas cards from PartSouq! However, due to the price difference, OEM $350+ vs Aftermarket (Ebay) $40, makes me want to know the general concensus of going aftermarket for an oil cooler. For the folks who have used afternarket, please share your thoughts.

Thank you!

I wouldn't cheap out on an important parts like that......you know the OEM will out-lived us.

If the engine has lost oil pressure and chewed up the bearings or pistons I would replace an oil cooler to make sure the new engine does not get contaminated with metal shavings. Other than that clean it out and run it. They are made of stainless steel and very durable. I would rather use an old known good one than a aftermarket Chinese ticking time bomb! If that “NEW” cooler fails you will lose your engine in minutes. Or go OEM and Carey on, what’s $300 bucks when you’re doing a full rebuild.
