I recently starting having backup camera issues. At first they were intermittent, now the camera displays the attached all the time. It appears to still be getting a feed, but it is just jumbled up. Screen displays all other things normally (climate control, radio, etc) with no issues, so it seems to be a camera or wiring issue? I have checked/cleaned the camera connector in the rear hatch, no changes.

I tried searching, but did not find anything specifically. I did find info about a television camera ECU underneath the passenger seat. I plan on checking those connections when I have time.

Any suggestions or help? Wife relies on this camera heavily and it worries her to be without it as she is constantly around little kids.

Thanks all!

bump! still having issues. Havent used the truck much at all this past year due to the rona.

I too am having display issues, but mine is a black screen when in reverse, without even the warning at the bottom.

@yosh2000, did you ever locate the camera ECU? I found the nav ECU under the passenger seat. The wiring diagraam and parts diagrams are tough to read on where the television or parking ECU is located. I looked under the driver's seat but I don't think it is there. I wonder if it is under the center console.

i did locate the camera ecu under the front pass. i tapped the signal wires to a separate little LCD screen i used as a backup monitor in another vehicle years ago. The picture was perfect and clear every time i shifted into reverse. So somewhere between the under seat ECU and the HU its messing up. I need to figure out where to tap into the back of the HU and i plan on just jumping the signal from under the seat to the back of the HU and should be all good.

did you ever get this figured out? I'm having this issue but I have no electrical experience so it is a bit intimidating.

No, sorry. I ran through a bunch of tests from the OEM manual and they all check out? My initial idea of bad wiring between ecu under seat and HU was proven incorrect w the checks. All wires has continuity. Basically next step in OEM repair manual was to replace HU....not happening! Ended up getting a rear view mirror w 4.3 display as an interim fix.

Check out Teyes CC3 screen upgrade with a new rear camera.

Which rear view mirror did you get? My camera works but dim and like the mirror location better.
