Odd request - anyone have a ceiling fan destined for the dump?

Triangle area specifically - trying to find an old ceiling fan, just need a functioning motor. And yes, it's cruiser related... for the 2FE project.

BTW, I have a working MegaSquirt ECU built, and talking to my laptop :D End of April might be dooable to have Dozer on the road!!!

I will make a call to an RDU friend that had two in his attic and let you know.

Sping Tide Ride?

Did you watch pimp my ride again???

Is this going on the roll bar to complete the yoga studio in the rear :grinpimp:

I want to spin the dizzy outside the motor. Ceiling fan is a cheap easy way with a reasonable RPM to drive it.

This will allow me to see the cam and crank signals at the MegaSquirt ECU w/o the engine actually running. My goal is to get all the signals verified (Wideband O2, cam/crank ignition, Coolant Temp, Intake Temp, TPS) so that when I fire the 2FE for the first time, troubleshooting will be a bit easier.

Guessing a leafblower is way out of the RPM range I need, but I'll double check - will let you know, thanks Terry.

I will check my crawl space and attic. I think there is one around here somewhere.

Don't go to any trouble Andrew (or Free) just yet. Chucked up nicely in a drill today at lunch (after chatting w/ Johnny C about ideas on this). It seems to work nicely I just need to see if the drill's going to give the RPMs needed - but I think this may be solved for now.

Thanks!

Ok. Found the fan. It is in my LC if you still want it. Been in the walk in crawl space for 7 years or so.

It is a hunter fan, white if someone else can use it and has the light attachment and white globes.
