October Fall Cookout? 8 Oct or 22 Oct?

Any interest in doing burgers/brats at my place in October...maybe 8 or 22 October?

I have parking in lot next to me if needed......I will supply burgers and brats, soda and iced tea if you guys can bring side dishes and adult beverages.

If it is good and we have interest PM me your status...and then we can figure out the side dishes and such.

No wheeling...no heavy fixes on rigs...just eat, drink, talk some smack and relax.....and get to know the new guys.

that is Halloween weekend....so not good as a lot do it on Saturday rather than on the actual Monday...due to school and stuff. As long as you provide some food you dont have to be there...

My wife is out of town that weekend for wedding....only other time open is 8 October as we have another wedding on 9 October to attend.

We dont have to do anything....we can wait until our January oyster roast and cookout.... if you guys want to hold off then that is fine....was just trying to make sure we had something planned as November is busy and so is December with holidays and family and hunting .

I will see what the others say and we can decide to proceed or to just have our Nov meeting...and call it good.

How about wheeling down the powerline right a way. BBBQ boy the Clemson season will be over by october 22. I think it is a good idea. I think we have too many football fans. Maybe they will come if there is a tv tuned to the game

if you come to the house you are there for food, drink and friendship....not to watch Clemson, Auburn, Carolina, Southern Illinois, Citadel, etc... That is what DVR is for....


If not then that is another day of hunting pre-rut for me to be out in the woods....

If everyone is tied up on both 8 October and 22 October....we will postpone until later date. Would like as many as possible there. So just post up on this thread whether you are interested...what date interested or not. Based on response will either make it happen or cancel thread and work on something for November instead.

Would love to meet the rest of the group but we will be with ONSC on the Brown Mountain Trip on the 22nd.

Just a bit of advice if you all don't mind and hopefully I am not stepping on any toes...as I have found over the years with ONSC it is best to just pick a date and make that the date and whoever can make it will. We fought the battle of trying to satisfy everyones schedule for some time and actually when dates are set people tend to make arrangements to be at the events they want to be a part of.

Let me know if I am overstepping my bounds.

We will not do the cookout in October....too many other things going on for people so will have a meeting one day in next month or so and discuss an end of year Oyster Roast and Cookout likely in January.
