While towing my boat the GX felt like it didn't have any power, it still got up to speed but took a while. As soon as I dropped my boat off it went back to normal. I thought something may be wrong with my trailer axles but they were good. Picked the boat back up and everything was normal. A couple of days later it did it again with no trailer. I stopped and cycled the ignition and everything was normal again. After talking with someone else but with a jeep, he said his vehicle was doing the exact same thing and it ended up being his oil pump. I may just try and swap the oil sending unit for now but I haven't had any lights or codes. I do hear a small tick but goes away after its warmed up. I do not have a oil pressure gauge on the GX, I may install one and a transmission cooler. Any thought ]s on what it may be?

I had maybe a similar problem where the truck felt like it had no power. It would fix itself if I came to a stop and started again or if I floored it and it did a very harsh downshift. Then I did a drain and fill on the trans and it never came back. Does that sound similar? 2006 GX here, 235k miles.

I'll try doing it when I get some days off.
