Finally had the time to update the thread with more shots. Man, I took tons of pics and they never do it justice.

Can't wait to go back. Another reason NC kicks ass, OBX is an awesome and special place.

those pics are just incredible. You are not the only one that loves that place. I can't wait till I can make a trip too. It'll be a long ride from Greensboro in the 40 but it'll be ok once we get there.

What part of OBX did you stay at? I usually end up at Hatteras. But go to Nags Head and Orocoke for visiting.

We stayed on Ocracoke, Hatteras and Corolla. They are all nice but Ocracoke is our favorite.

Thanks. Yeah, that's the mecca - if you want to do deep water, multi-species sport fishing, there's no better place in the world, IMO.

We should do a club charter trip sometime!

a club charter...now your talking. THe wife and I would definately go for some deep sea fishing. Is there any one charter you like better than the others?

There are lots of great boats / captains down there. I researched for a few weeks before we went and got lucky getting a spot on the boat we took out.
Capt. Rom Whitaker out of Hatteras and the boat is the Release. He's usually booked 9-10 months out and they claim to be the busiest, most booked, fish the most days gulf stream charter on the east coast.

He's been doing this for over 30 years and knows how to find fish.

I would recommend him highly - smart, courteous, professional and driven by tight lines!
