I paid my first visit to Oakridge, OR in 8 years. I am going to be acting as a guide for Mountain Bike Oregon and we did a training ride on Alpine trail, Tire Mountain Trail and Clover patch. What an epic ride.

All I can say is what a transition that town has made! The town and the forest service have gone all out to turn the area in to a mountain biking meca. The trail systems they have developed a huge number of trails for mountain biking. A person could ride for a week and not hit all of the tails available.

If you are interested in a mountain bike vacation defenitely put Oakridge, Oregon on your short list! I think Mountain Bike Oregon is sold out but it would be worth checking the August date. There may even be an option to extend the event by two days for motivated riders!

Hells yea! Oakridge has one of the best trail networks in the country. I'd say it easily rivals areas like the Kingdom Trails out E.

Flyrod, look me up at MBO - I'll buy you a beer. I'll likely be in either a Lumberyard t-shirt or a IH8MUD jersey. My company is there twice a summer, every summer. I love MBO!

I'll be there as a guide. I'll look for you. Are you there as a vender? We should hook up on a ride. If you are buying I'll pick an expensive beer!;)

Yep. As a vendor. We're representing BLKRAK, Lumberyard, Morpheus and Northwest Trail Alliance. My company does a lot of event marketing work for various mtn sports companies. I generally don't work the booths, but somebody can point me out. Most of the guides know me as well.
Cheers,
