Cleaning out extra parts. We pulled our 2F power steering pump for a Saginaw swap.
We were able to reuse the bracket with the Valley Hybrids kit and I'm trying to retrofit the cap, so those pieces are not included.
According to my records this unit was replaced with a new Toyota part by Toyota Towne of Simi Valley in 2000 with about 150,000 on the clock.
This Cruiser was a California rig and has been our road going beast of burden for the past 13 years, the past 6 in upstate NY.
We've been turning 33's with no trouble and mostly road miles since 2010 and 210,000 miles. Prior to that it was on 31's.
We pulled the pump in July of 2022 with 315,000 miles. The pump was not leaking, or struggling but we thought it to be the source of a high pitched whine that came and went two times in the months leading up to the replacement.
If someone would like a no guarantees "working when pulled" pump, reservoir and pulley for a quick change, a core or rebuild project....
