Picked up this '88 FJ62 yesterday with the intent to use it as a parts rig so that I can go 2FE in my '86 FJ60. It's complete and everything works so I'm kinda on the fence regarding using it as a parts rig or getting it in better shape. The engine was rebuilt within the past couple of years but has a knock. That's going to be the real factor in deciding its fate. That and the A440F has gone through a rebuild. Guess I could get it in shape as a driver and use it that way until the tranny dies.
The PO also threw in a bunch of parts. Spare head with intake, fuel rail and injectors, throttle body, distributor, some brackets, 1/2 of the exhaust manifold, EFI harness from a '91, and a few more bits. Then there's the spare block but I'll have to go back to that.
