I usually have a Havahart and a spring trap baited with peanut butter in the garage. Amazingly, I do catch a rat every so often without any other visible indication of its presence in the garage. Then again, the family likes to leave the door open in the evening after dark...

In all cases, best to check regularly for catches or it can get messy, especially with the spring ones. don't ask how I know...

Well worth the laugh of "Go check out my orchard" prank for friends and family, or park it near the porch for those pesky solicitors.

Might be the tool to keep the cows and the deer out of the fruit trees..
