I've had nothing but very good things to say with my OME set-up, wheeled them everywhere I could and have no complaints. Yet, everywhere I turned, I kept hearing the ICON's are great from everyone who owned them. Jason Demello enlightened me on them as did Dylan (one of the ICON engineers) at FJSummit 2. Yet, I still maintained my pleasure with the OME 886/N140's on the front.
As Bud and I talked through my "tummy tuck" modification, he let me know that he was the newest distributor and serving the East Coast. Then I found a local FJC owner who was looking for a cheap pair of OME's, so we did the deal and I had Bud order me a set of the ICON coilovers. Well, when they arrived, I could here the choir sing. What a SWEET set of coilovers. Beautifully designed and manufactured in the good old USA...
Right out of the box...
Can you hear the angels singing...
Now the babies are home where they belong...
Thanks to Bud at Budbuilt for getting them ordered for me. The installation was as straight forward as could be. They gave me the exact same lift as I had with the OME 886's out of the box, 42.25" from the ground to the fender wells. Only did a quick road trip around town to make sure the install was good, I'll follow up with a road/trail report in the coming weeks...
