Finally found the first good thing about Alabama. Good Christmas trees. Finally something to choose from besides a spindly Virginia pine and the Frazier Fir. Not saying we were loaded with a bunch of Spuce trees either but the first time I have seen a Douglas Fir since moving. In NC prices ranged from 45-80 for an approx 7-8' tree. Here it was $25 bucks. WOW.

Still expecting some great picutres though and wish I could join you.
 
You'll find the pick and cut places in W NC to be about 30-50% below local (Wake Co anyway) prices, apples for apples. You'll spend more on fuel, but it's such a great experience - especially if you have chilrens.

expect prices overall to be lower than in years past. I have bought from the same family for 20 years. our tree this year was $10 cheaper than last year
