Not that I would do this but what would happen mechanically if I was to do a power slide in my ’99 LC? Would it murder my drivetrain? Or could it handle it?

I've slid the big girl around plenty on snow, gravel, mud and combinations of all and it is predictable albeit it takes more pedal and steering input than most vehicles to make it step out. Best way to describe it is everything happens slower, as in making it step out and making it straighten back up. Does just fine for a tank, center of gravity precludes it from being a venture I would try on asphalt though. I'm also a non ATRAC year though so YMMV...

Eta: I see you are a non ATRAC MY as we'll just keep in mind that others that may reply with ATRAC probably have a different experience in this arena I would think.

Vsc (vehicle skid control) stops most of the fun. on gravel roads I can get side ways. World rally style. Does very well for a lifted heavy SUV. I need a vsc over ride button.

On snow/ice my non-ATRAC 99 will hang out the rear WRC-style but it takes a LOT of steering and throttle to get the back out and hold it out, and fighting vsc all the way. Asphalt? Forget it!

Thanks for feedback guys. On occasion, I like to break loose the wheels on the cars/trucks I drive to find that "breaking point". I do it when the situation is right and not very often. Seems like doing it on the street is a very hard thing to do compared to my truck.
