Well… not so hardcore but, I didn’t really know of anywhere to post the question.
I recently purchased a truck with a SM465. From what I can tell, it is the older style cast bell-housing. It did not have a bell housing cover (maybe referred to as a inspection plate??) so, I found one from a MUD member. I have the cover now but, no bolts.
- Does anyone know the size/length of the bolts that hold the cover to the bell-housing?
- Does it use a gasket?
- And the last question…. the bell-housing cover has a hole in the bottom (it didn’t have a plug)…. Is that just a “vent/weep” hole?
I looked all over for diagrams online but, was unsuccessful.
My first guess is they would be course thread but… the size and length could be great.
I am leaving for SNT at Pismo this Thursday so… any help would be great!
