not receiving any E-mail notifications

@pbgbottle - Feature works (I got a notification of your post)...best bet is to re-visit each thread/post in your Watched Threads or Watched Posts and reset the email or alert options. I switched most of mine to Alert-only, instead of filling my inbox with emails.
 
Inbox --> Conversations - they function JUST like threads, and you can have more than two participants. I believe I've got attachments in Conversations turned on for Supporting members too.

I was talking to Beno private conversation and he mentioned
PM 'ing him. Which is what I hought i was doing cool thanks

Doesn't it say to tick a box to make it private or to leave the conversation open for others to reply or view also ? I hope it is private between bino and me lol

I don't get email notification of your replies in this thread either
And I created it yesterday.

I'm working now thanks for the help. I'll look into my settings and such when I get home
 
If you don't select the options in your Preferences, you will not be auto-subbed to each thread you start or post in. And when I select "more options" from the quick-reply box, there is an option below to "Watch this thread" and once selected, the option to receive email notifications.

IMO, a notification for every thread you post in would drive me nuts :)

and yes, conversations are private between the parties listed.
 
I have that all checked by default in the more options tab. Just checked now in the post both checked Not sure what is wrong with my settings.

Thanks. I don't post that much so my email notifications aren't to horrendous. Lol

I'll play more with it when I get home.
 
what mail provider?

Yahoo and Hotmail are notorious for "not playing well" with generated emails (like the ones from a forum)...and I've had occasional times where a specific ISP blacklists the domain as well.
 
I Just use my ISP Shaw cable

And Microsoft office outlook.
I've Never had this problem before
And it was working when the site
First went live.

I will check more when I get home. I will also contact my service provider to see if they
Have any junk mail or anti spam
Filter turned on.

still nothing ,nothing wrong with my ISP either, weird ,
i have cycled all my settings and still no emails
i do get the alerts by my user profile when i log into mud but still no emails .

no notifications even from this thread
 
wish I had an answer for you...it's gota be something with the mail service...I'll have my sysadmin run some tests, but it's odd that it's just your account that is noting issues.

I do seem to recall that shaw.ca was one I had to petition a number of years back on emails...also Comcast...


At least Alerts work :)
