I've had a modified FJ60 for some time but I bit the bullet and purchased a FJ over the weekend (they aint giving these things away). I havent even turned 100 miles. The only thing I hate is the stock tires and the car payment (havent had one in about 7 years).

Ok now the pseudo newbie question: I'm going to lift 3" + 2" rear, thinking of OME and goint to 285. 70. 17. I have the stock black wheels, These wheels will work? or is backspacing a problem?

Cheers

Oh and my FJ60 is for sale, know anyone intrested?

OME -med/heavy is one of the better lifts. I'd go bigger than 285 -- go to 305's and do the body mount trim

Black steelies will work fine

You are going to have a very hard time selling it in the FJC section.

Take some pictures and post it in the Vehicles for sale section with a list of the mods, price and location.

Oh yeah as soon as my digital camera is replaced, my 5 year old dropepd it and killed it. my wife is the only one in a hurry to get rid of the 60.

please note that this is only due to the aforementioned large car payment. i'd love to have a 60, those are some great rigs. buddy of mine had a tan one, i was always impressed taht such a big beast felt so small.

You can fit 285's without lifting it and on the stock wheels too if you don't mind doing a little trimming. That's what I plan to do when my tires ware out.
