Not bad looking for 221,000 miles

Here is the engine compartment on my FJ62. Not bad for the mileage, and the rest of the car is in similar shape. My daughter is learning to drive in it.

That is a CLEAN engine! This should be a great vehicle for a youngster because it is not a hot rod and there is a lot of metal in it. If she has a fender bender, the 62 probably will be the winner. A rig that clean is likely to indicate that the previous owner did the preventive maintenance as needed. If the owner did not do the PM, you will be learning a lot about knuckles, brakes, manifolds, and Lord help you, the automatic tranmission. Hopefully, she will become interested in this stuff...nothing better than a lady cruiserhead. Maybe your Christmas shopping will not be at the Dreaded Mall this year...maybe Cruiser Outfitters, SOR, Man-A-Fre, Marlin....
