The small glass triangle is a Nikon Light Meter cube , it’s a phototography tool
Used to measure light , reflection , and refraction .

When shooting Glass , chrome or anything shiny and reflective like Mothers Marine polished out to a chrome like finish aluminum metal , It gives my hand held light meter a baseline for my camera settings

The rest of us must use a potato? I'd put any cell phone manufactured after 2015 with decent lighting up against any SLR for the silly-low resolutions you see on forums.
