noob alternator question

throwing a battery isolator under the hood and don't know which cable coming from the alternator sends power back to my battery. its an 82 bj60. searched around, seems its too basic a question for most!

On my 60 there's a two-wire plug and a heavier wire that goes to the threaded boss. The heavier wire on the threaded boss is the + wire that goes to the battery. It might be red w/white stripe...but I don't remember for sure.
