I intend on keeping my interior as stock as possible. So the factory radio is going to stay as well as the factory speaker. I do how ever have a stereo system ready to go into the pig. So I wanted to see what others have done when it comes to installing a stereo into their pigs. Last thing I want to do is cut up metal.

i want to get one of those head units with the remotes and mount it somewhere else so i can keep my am radio in the dash :) . hhhhmmmm, actually, while i'm at it, maybe i can find the old indash 8 track player from my 71.

for speakers, maybe do thin boxes under the seats and speakers under the dash...no the most desireable locations, but will keep your door panels in the same shape.

you could add an amp and speakers in a somewhat concealed locale, and then get the small XM reciever and play it through the factory radio and aftermarket speakers,,, eh?

my interior will be completely different to stock, it was already in bad shape so im doing it up the way i like it and what will suit my lifestyle etc.

stuff am radio, i've listened to that like once and it was boring, i'd rather my cd player shooting out my favourite tunes through some good speakers.

but that's just me, and i can understand why you guys want to keep it original which is cool. so good on ya.

Dan.

you could put your cd player in your glove compartment maybe? speakers under the seats? personally my pig is so loud between the open windows, tires, headers, and flowmasters that a radio would just be background noise at this point....

I used some of the Dynamat Xtreme in my last pig.... really took care of the noise. I think Im going to end up putting something in under the dash. maybe right below the glove box.

The PO of my pig mounted the CD deck under the glove box part of the dash.

Kinda hard to reach to change channels or change CD's, but it left the dash & stock AM radio intact.

Used to have the Factory AM, it's in the garage until I figure a new mounting area for the ARBs. For now, I have the new ARB radio. ;p
