I need to make a long road trip to LKQ (to the center of the known universe - Charleston) to rob a salvage GX470 of its A/C amplifier. Unfortunately, the early 120s don't have a remotely mounted amplifier in an accessible location. Toyota, in its infinite wisdom, thought the best place for it would be on top of the climate control unit.
I need a clue (or two) about how to get the control assembly out of the dash. I know I could use a prybar, but I don't salvage parts that way.
Also, if anyone knows of a functional check for the A/C amplifier, that would be handy info to have.
