Just thought I would ask if anyone can recommend a general contractor who they were pleased with...I am thinking about closing in my garage and building a new garage...I live in harrisburg, nc (just outside of concord and charlotte area)..thanks..R

Not sure if you have the time or not, but you can get a residential contracting license in a couple weeks at night at CPCC. You should go the renovation yourself and save yourself about 20-30% of the money.

would love to do that and save money but can't due to time and work (plus two little ones)...:)...R

Roger,
I am a GC with my own company, shoot me an email at joshjones77@hotmail.com. I do it on the side with a buddy. We typically have a couple projects going at once and we have one finishing in a few weeks so we have some openings coming up for work.

thanks for your response Josh...I will email you soon, we are in the process of getting some figures and interviewing...can you email me info on your company (liability insurance info, certifications, etc., reference...do you have a website)...thanks again...btw, how's your FJ coming along??...I am getting ready to finally finish off my rear axle disc brake conversion...she's been sitting around too long doing nothing...Roger

Sent you a pm, cant seem to find your email address anymore. I hold a Building Contractors license in North Carolina which permits me to do both residential and commercial work. We are just 2 guys and sub most everything out. We can build whatever you want us to interior and exterior. we are a small custom builder/rennovation company.

Fj-Coming along slowly but surely. Running like a top now though. Body is the only thing that needs work.
