Thank you for the update. Your bumper looks great and this is definitely something I'll be doing.

BTW>... I don't even think you would need to go with 3/8 backing. The ARBs are only 3/16" thick to begin with if I recall. I've had a half dozen or more pulls and I have no concerns about bending it. If I were to do it again I would just plate the inside and plasma cut the holes and you're good to go.

PM me if you need/want more info or want to chat via phone.

Cheers! Tim

Anyone else who has done this care to post up some additional pictures/details? I'm on the fence about doing this to the non-winch ARB on the truck now vs. a winch ARB or Slee shortbus.

Hello Expolander. I plan doing the same thing, and was hoping to get some insite before i chop up the ARB bumper. It looks like you cut the top of the bumper to make room for the winch. I cant quite make out the plate in the pictures either. What is the measurement of the 3/8" plate used. Did it cover just the foot print of the winch, or was it larger to offer more bracing?
I also cant make out the 3/16" plate on the outside. Can you advise if that actually necessary in your opinion.

Thanks for the write up on this.
