No turn light, no hazard - BJ70 12V - Edit - now fixed

Problem occurred when my wife was driving. (NO...my wife is not the problem ! ;) )

The turn lights suddenly stopped working (both sides). When she arrived home, I tested the hazard light and they did not work either. Nothing in the dash, nothing in the lights.

These two functions have different fuses. However, two fuses are good and the other accessories associated with the same fuses function (EDIC for exmple in the case of flasher, horn in the case of hazard).

I suspect a problem of ground or a problem of hazard switch.

If the hazard switch not good...did the flash stops working?

So I started my research but if someone can direct me to a solution or if anyone has had this experience, I be happy to read your solution.

thank you.

EDIT - OK... PROBLEM FIXED - BAD CONTACT IN THE WIRE UNDER THE STEERING.

In vehicles I have owned, the FLASHER controls both turn signals and hazard.
If it fails, symptoms would be exactly as you describe.
Not sure about flasher unit location in your BJ70.

As you should noted in the previous post. I had already solved the problem.

In fact, after a little investigation, the problem came from a hazard switch unit behind the wheel. A wire was broke from is contact. A little bit of «house» welding and the problem has been fixed.

Sometimes I wonder how all those little repair will cost if I had to do business with the Toyota dealer!
