No power inside the truck - maybe immobiliser issue?

Stock remote keys (no aftermarket alarms)
Battery is usually attached to a trickle charger when the truck is sitting on the driveway.

I unlock the truck - insert key - notice non of the lights inside the truck are on.

Alarm light is the only thing moving/blinking inside the truck.

Turn the key and NOTHING happens. No dash lights - no head lights - NADA.

I turn the headlights on manually - nothing.

I jump start it - NOTHING. No dash lights - no dome lights - no headlights.

--- I know that these trucks has a feature that after x amount of minutes ALL power to the truck gets turned off. I open the door and close it - resets. It seems like that is happening but it isn't resetting.

Is this an alarm issue?

I use two different keys that we use all the time. I changed both batteries in the keys to make sure that is not it.

I have checked IGN - EFI fuses. Under the hood and left kick panel. They all look good.

Any thoughts or ideas? Yes I did use the search but the issues I read isn't the same as the issue I am having.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hoser,

The truck isn't responding to the remote at all. It won't lock or unlock. This is with 2 different keys - both with new batteries and both were being used.

None of the lights inside respond - even if I turn them on manually - close and open the door. Nothing.

Thanks man.

Oops, I can't read!

Did you check the fusible links at the positive terminal?

Probably a long shot, but check the main ground. I have seen on a couple of different vehicles the main ground not tight and will cause all sorts of problems.

Recently went through the same symptoms. Turned out just a good cleaning of the positive battery terminal fixed it. For some reason, trying to jump start didn't work.

I was able to drive it home last night.

The only thing I did was take off the negative battery cable - left it off for a few minutes - put it back on, then a few minutes later the dome light came on. I turn the key and it started right up.

I will get my battery load tested later - I don't think it is fixed yet. It is the 2nd time it has happened - the first time was in my driveway - I attached a trickle charger to it and later in the day it started right up.

Physcle - yeah I tried jump starting it too and didn't help either.
MuddyBean - What and where is the "Body Control Module Fuse"?
TXLX100 - I will double check the ground(s)

Thank you Gentlemen.

If it worked after a battery reset it isn't your bcm fuse. But this fuse is under drivers side kick panel all the way next to the fuel door and hood release handles. You'll have to check a manual but it's a 15 amp fuse and it should be labeled.
