No more recall records?

Just called toyota to find out if my rig has had the recall done and they said that my vin number couldn't be found and that toyota only keeps recall records for 10 years. Am I being shafted? It was the toyota of america #. Anyone else have any problems like this.

Never mind I called again and found out all the info, guess it depends on who you talk to sometimes!

You are being shafted. I emailed them about my recall history, and they emailed me back illustrating the fact that both of them have been done.

Do a search and you'll find a site where you can email them your VIN and they'll email you your truck;s history.
