No go glow

The glow system in my HZJ77 seems to have crapped out on me. Previously would hear a click from dash when the glow light turned off and a second click coming from under the hood - battery tray side of engine bay. No second click now.

I disconnected and checked the water temp sensor - within spec. No voltage to glow plugs on start. Checked plugs for continuity - all good. Disconnected the wiring harness from preheat timer and checked for voltage and continuity as per FSM: all good except no voltage on #11 terminal of harness on start. What gives?

Proceeded to check relays 1 & 2 but... Where the hell are they? Is number one attached to #1 battery tray side bracket? FSM says # 2 relay is right side of engine compartment - I don't see it either...

Would love some help on this. System functioned great last winter at -35C and right up until two nights ago when temp dropped to -9.

Just FYI. I replaced the primary glow relay (on the front battery bracket) on my HZJ77 with one from my old 24V HJ60. That was about 3 yrs ago...still works fine.

Turns out it was the #1 relay (attached to battery bracket) that gave up the ghost. No second click - no primary relay.

Like you, I took the relay out of my HZJ73 and installed it in the 77. Works like a charm. The 73 is parked for the winter anyways. Love the super glow system - when it works!
