To add, I got this thing in May with the full intentions of a V8 swap before I put it to much use. I drive it very little. It starts with the choke until warm, sometimes doesn’t want to maintain idle and occasionally provides a thunderous backfire usually in a grocery store parking lot.
I put an alternator on it due to voltage regulator meltdown; it appears to have not a whole lotta miles on fresh wires but I haven’t bothered to look at the plugs. I have no interest in this motor as I have a 350 taking up space just waiting for final conversion parts, so I have not put any time into it other than just making sure it moves on it’s own when needed.
It’s basically a one owner truck serviced somewhat regularly from what I can tell, until it obviously became a backup vehicle and wasn’t driven a whole lot. It spent its life in Colorado Springs bedroom community and shows the body rust. It leaks fluids from everything that holds fluids, except radiator... that just has a weep at a lower pinch seam and hose. I added 1/2 quart of motor oil I think; bottom half of motor is covered in oil.
