In another thread, a member just fitted 32.6" NTG up from the stock 31.5s. Like me he has no lift and confirmed that the tires do not rub. However, since I on occasion hit the trails and want the extra .5" ground clearance and added looks, I do not want the tires to contact the top of the wheel well at full compression. Basically, I would really like these two questions answered...

1. At full compression, is there more than .5" clearance between the top of the stock tires and the wheel well roof?

2. Is there enough room to fit a 1.1" larger spare tire in the spare tire well? Taking a look it looks like there is but would like to hear from someone who has actually done it.

Thanks in advance.

PS. If anyone has any recommendations for any sliders they like that incorporate a step please chime in. Sliders and an oem nudge bar are necessary for this summer.

1. Should be enough clearance, no need to adjust bumpstops.
2. Plenty of room in the spare tire location for this size.

Slee sliders all the way. The best!

chimyz, you are the man, thanks for the response. I'm stoked that the tires will fit without issue and will also put the Slees at the top of my list for this summer. Thanks again.

Slee Sliders. Check out 200 Series Video thread to see mine in action. My truck is also on Slee's site.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I saw your truck on the Slee site a couple of weeks ago when looking at their sliders (now I know who owns it). Thunder on that first vid caught me out with the volume up!

BTW, I stupidly put a typo in the title of the thread. New tire size should read 285/65R18

Carl, did the 295/65s fit well? I'm considering the 295 Duratracs.

Any rubbing? My 285 Nitto Trail Grapplers rub a little on the UCAs.

I'm concerned that in mud the gap between the front mud flap and tire may be to small to allow mud and rocks to pass through.
