Nitto “cracking” between treads (1 Viewer)

I have had my terra grapplers for a bit under 5 years. All the tires have minor rubber cracking between all the treads as shown in the picture. No cracking in the sidewall. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this and it’s not in my spare (different brand) which is even older. The cracks seems pretty shallow so I’m not sure if this is a critical issue or just means they are getting old and should be replaced soonish. I have like 25k miles on them.

In my experience, my KO2's did this as well as my Cooper XLT AT3 tires are doing it now. Seems somewhat common.

Have seen it plenty of times. I always assumed they had more years than what you have though.
