Out of curiosity, is turning radius sacrificed on the 30/30 birfs over the factory 30/27? One thing I love on my 80 is the fairly tight turning radius for how big it is.

My birfs are now clicking after changing sides......so time to upgrade.

The 80 series are 24 spline (same size as 30) already, so no benefit changing to 30. This keeps the chromoly as well as the replacement ones compatible with stock or chromoly axle shafts. For 90% of 80 series owner I recommend a replacement birfield joints as they are designed to last for a long time and out of nearly a thousand sold we've only seen a few broken.

Thanks for the response! So this not being my daily driver and will be used 80% off-road with 35" tires and eventually V8 power, you would recommend the replacement or chromoly birfields?

With the build you are talking about, I think the chromoly ones would be the better choice.
