so i assume they have no idea you took those pics?

hmmm still surprising. I work for a major supplier for bmw and have been inside there plant many of times. They will beat your a@# for stuff like that. Nothing really special as far as i am concerned though.

Reminds me of the time when Cdan, beno and I paid pilgrimage to Toyota Auto Body a few years ago.

They would not let us take pics, but we got to see just about everything.

It looks like it was not an observer that took these pics (You can see a guy in a white/beige coat snapping the pic in a reflection of the folded door mirror in one of the pics).

I go into auto plants everyday for my job and I cannot think about taking pics and posting them online of their process or procedures.

Honestly I wouldnt out of respect for their process.

To each is their own.

What's up Brian?
I thought you were going to make rounds back down here to visit us? And not take pictures!
I haven't been on here in a long time, but saw a link to this thread from another forum (rmp-o.com)

Interesting seeing the Patrol plant. I'm sure there is nothing in those pics that give away any trade secrets. They were most likely reviewed before being published.
However, during a technology photo op last spring where Nissan was showing off some new measurement equipment, there was a 2013 Altima in the pic before the official public unveiling.

Anyway, that looks too much like work for me!

Not sure what everyone is worried about. Industrial espionage is a bit more covert and in-depth than some dude touring a plant with a camera. The Chinese likely have the details on every auto manufacturing plant and process - including the fab software and code - even before they go into production mode.
