Thought I would start a build thread here as well. You can also see my other build thread on the "Blue" forum(FJCRUISERFORUMS.com). My user name there is NIGHTMARE1. Most of you guys know my past and my love for Cruisers. I've had many TOYOTA's to list them all. Must say this has been one of the best rigs I've owned. 2008 FJ Cruiser Trail Teams edition.

The Lightbar build got kicked off last week. Started with a 5' stick of DOM steel tubing. Cut a 15 degree angle on each side and flipped the center bar to make 30 degrees. Welded the bar and ground down the welds to appear as a solid bar. Mocked up the lights and welded mounting tabs for the LED bars. Center 22" bar and two outside 14" bars. Currently waiting on Capital City Metal works to bend my 3/16 steel plate to spec to finish making the side mounting point brackets. Once the side brackets are welded up, I'll take it to get line X. I'll update the wiring and mounting points later as the build comes together.

Love this! I've been waiting for more FJ builds over here!

Slow and steady!! Hoping to have it completely mocked and welded up on my next day off. Then it will be off to line x. Then final assembly.

Looking good Bro!

Spent all night getting the light bar fit. Drilled the brackets and fit the brackets to the truck. Measured out the length of the bar and cut the ends off at 60 degrees. Test fit the bar to brackets. Tack welded the bar to brackets. Pulled off the truck and finished welding up the bar to the brackets. Test fit all lights and completed wiring. Off to line x tomorrow or Thursday if I can get to that side of town.

Very clean looking. Look forward to seeing the finished product!

Finally finished the light bar build. Took a couple days to get it updated on here due to life and work. I'll get some night pictures when the rain allows.

Finally got tired of backing up at night with no light(blacked out tail lights lenses). Purchased some 6" single row led bars for the rear. I mounted them using the factory skip plate bolts. Made a wiring harness using a trailer plug into the factory trailer lights for power into a relay. T'd off the driver side reverse light for a remote wire. Basically the lights have to be on and the truck must be in reverse to have power. Eliminating them working every time the truck is in reverse. I will take pics of the lights installed shortly.
