Anyone have any nice fast cars out there besides our yotas??
I'm just missing my old ones and hate the fact that I know I can't have another one untill i'm done with school and get a much better job.
Some of you know I used to work on muscle cars everyday in high school. Now with the car show at lowes and the new F&F movie comming out (the first one came out when I was very much into racing cars on deserted streets) i'm feeling the gasoline in my blood start to ping again. I'm missing that 400 whp under my right foot.
So anybody that has any nice cars post them up.

My wife is dreading tomorrow at the auto show as she knows how crazy I get around these cars.

I wish I was closer and I would head to that show. But just not worth the drive and I have a lot of catching up to do around the house since I've been gone.

I don't have any ricers but I am "watching" a 1968 Firebird with a decent build on the 400 Pontiac that is sitting it it. It is in storage but I need to get it out and take it for a drive as it has been about 4 months since he took off for Iraq. Get the fluids moving. Not a comfortable car but quick as $!@T

I hope to give my 4.6L in my 56 some juice in the future. Throw some PI heads on it and give it a computer program. Car only weighs around 3400 so it should do pretty good.

Oh I don't own any ricers either.... these are the cars that i've owned
68 firebird (not sure how much hp)
89 mustang GT (around 300hp)
94 Firebird Formula (dyno'd at 371 whp)
99 Z28 (dyno'd at 411 whp) would have been faster if not having to sell it

those are just mine.... i'd need about an hour to list all the cars my friends and I worked on and raced that I didn't actually own

I used to watch street races go down for 10k thats why the F&F movies make me think of the old days

P.S. I don't condone street racing

Do you have a newer 4.6 in that F-100??

This used to be my toy...2001 S4 6spd twin turbo, chipped, downpipes, exhaust, rs4 clutch, lightwheight flywheel, etc, etc..

Sold it late January for a 40 and the wife's new Camry. Loved the car and it was super fast with low miles but I didn't have a place to drive it or friends into fast cars.

I'll own another one of some sort in the future but for now the 40 and 80 are my interest.

I had a friend that had one of those him and another friend with an M3 were always racing each other.
The S4 was much easier to mod though.
I helped the friend with an M3 put new "racing cams" in his car and a few other things. $3000 later he had an amazing 30 more hp  so on my advice he bought a corvette to play with.
The S4 before my other friend sold it was putting out around 350 hp. It was a very nice stylish car but was red. Your black one looks about 20 times better.

No it came out of a 1996 Crown Vic P71. I think around 205HP at the crank. The thing really got up and went in the crown vic and it weighed around 4K pounds. But then again I also had it stripped down to probably around 3500 or less for the derby. I also had 3.55 gears and a posi. My 56 has 2.55 gears and no posi. I think in the very near future the 9" is going to have to go and I'm going to drop the 8.8" under it. For many reasons including having the same bolt pattern, having disc brakes all around, and the better gear ratio. But the 2.55 will be nice for fuel mileage on long trips.

I have 2.5" exhuast (left the cats on...but they could come off) and a cold air intake. I'm thinking a new larger throttle body, PI heads with slight work, some headers, and some work to the computer and the thing would come alive..hopefully 250+ HP.

Here are a couple pics of the progress...needs cleaned up but it will get there. Hopefully in time for some late spring riding. Chopped off the whole front end of the crown vic and replaced the twin I beam that was on the truck. Would have used the whole Crown vic frame, axles, and nice suspension set up, but it was a little bent up from the derby in the rear.

Started with 1973 - 911
1- MR2 (1985)
3 - CRX SIs ('88, '88 and '90)
1 - Audi S4 (00 or 01, owned for 2 weeks, to fast for street use)
1 - 323i (2000)
1 - 528i Touring

I like fun cars however I have no street discipline so i drive a slow truck. WOuld love a car for VIR. Would like to share a track car with someone (s), but street legal so we could drive it back and forth to VIR without having a trailer.

Favorite car to date is the new GT3 RS (will need the lotto for this one).

Doesn't look very practical.

;p

I've got a sleeper grocery getter. Been into turbo'ed engines as they get good gas mileage, yet haul when you want them too. S4, the Audi you had looks sweet & clean. I have a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT wagon. Only year they brought them into the states with a 5 speed manual. Owned it now for about 3 years and love it. Very practical and good handling and acceleration when you want to get squirrely. Not sure if your into wagons... I'll try to dig up some pix of her. Tons of cargo space and all wheel drive is great. Solid car too with no issues like I've had with some european cars.. especially electrical issues.

Here's 2 pix, sorta crappy, but one of the exterior and one cockpit. Haven't done much to it, just a TDC stage 1 map which increased the torque quiet a bit, drop in AVO air filter and a short shifter. Is turbo'ed boxter 4 from the factory and the factory suspension actually does well in turns. Seems the harder you gas it, the better she handles in turns. Not the fastest thing out there, but you'd be surprised on what it can run down. Rear seats drop down in about 5 seconds. I got a 46" LCD in the box in the rear cargo area with no problems. Also has heated seats, huge moon roof(think over 3" long), etc, etc. I can hang one piece fishing rods from the ceiling as well. Yo likes it:)
