Kevin is a great guy he rebuilt my T case the first time. then I had to get in there and then Ken had to fix it :)
Kevin's Dad mitch has a fj62 that is built similarly. Kevin and his wife Amy had a great article in either the last trails or the new expedition magizine where they drove 16,000 miles or so from here to alsaka nd back in that fj60 before the diesel swap. very kewl read alot of great treking and expedition knowledge.

I think "Nice 60" is quite an understatement. That thing is gorgeous. Really got me started thinking what sort of interior mods I could to to my 4Runner. The bed in the back with storage underneath is a really cool idea. Wow, what an inspiration.

I remember riding in that truck during a run to the store at the '04 3FE bash, it was in pretty rough shape. Engine wouldn't idle right, lots of rust, seats were grubby. Then I saw it in the summer of '06, we caravan'd across Canada and UP Michigan. It was a totally different truck, he had done so much work to it. At one point we stopped for fuel and they had a set of scales, so he had it weighed. I believe it was almost 7000 lbs at the time, this was before it got the diesel and FF rear axle.

Kevin and his dad are excellent fabricators. He can work wonders in every medium: wood, metal, plastics, etc. You'll never meet a nicer couple than Kevin and Amy.
