I went to the autoparts store and picked up some NGK plugs.
It has been a while since I changed them last and I have read to stay away from the platinum plugs.
I got home and went to gap them and the plugs I came home with are, what I would call, dual electrode.
I am wondering if they gave me the wrong ones or if these are fine to use in my V6 2001 Tacoma.

Any thoughts? Thanks

The stock # is 3967 NGK multi power multiple ground electrodes.

Is this enough info? They weren't expensive, I was just surprised when I opened the box adn don't want to put the wrong plugs in and I'm not looking for a gimmick plug.

Thanks

The NGKs should be, BKR5EKB-11, a dual electrode (NOT THE V). Have you looked at what you currently have to compare, or your owners manual?

The Denso # K16TR11, if you don't have either of those two for the 01-04 3.4l, then you have the wrong spark plug. Neither one should be expensive, range from ~$2-$4/plug

Flatland,
They are a dual-electrode but i am at my office now w/o the spark plugs so i cant check the BKR5EKB-11.
I couldn't find my owners manual last nite to get specs so I posted here.
Thanks for your input.
BTW what do you mean in your sig. line re: cup holders?

Ok, the 3967 is a non v power plug. It is a OE designated plug. You wouldn't want to run a 6953 in there.

breaking down the plug's part number you get this:
14mm thread, hex size 5/8" projected tip, resistor, heat range 5, thread reach 19mm, 2 ground electrodes, special design, pre gapped at 11mm.

Installed last nite, and identical to the ones I took out - minus a several thousand miles! :hillbilly:

BTW - so you concerned can sleep at nite,

I did NOT gap my plugs!

AND my truck is running fine....:hillbilly:
