NewFields?

I plan on swapping my stock drums to disc brakes soon. I am also looking at upgrading the birfields while everything is apart. I have searched and read on the Newfields but most posts are older and apparently the newer ones may be stronger. You can get the 30 spline newfields for $400 with inners. Should I try them or just save more for Longfields? Tires will most likely be 37's.

I do not like doing things more than once, especially spending that kind of money on a product. You know the reputation of the 30 spline Longfield axles.

If I were going your direction, I would install the 30 spline Longs.

30 spline long fields, or at least find someone with an old welded set of longs. Skip the newfield stuff.
