Called MR Stucky and he is sending me new newer Newfields.
THEY have a NEW vendor. They use the 94 birf so I will need to use my old flange, I hope I still have them ::)

I will give them a try as the grand that the OEM cost will go twards a used Tercel for the wife. If we find a Tercel, then the new newer Newfields will never wear out as it won't get driven to Walmart any more :flipoff2:

If they fail this time I will sell the 80 and buy a PINZGAUER 8)

One passed me on the interstate on Sunday :o
I was in the semi and slowed down to get a look at it and it passed me and I couldn't ever catch up to it.
It had I-Pass and I had to stop at the toll both. :D

hmmm.....
if you buy the Toyota birfields instead of spending the money on a cheezy car, then it won't matter how many miles you put on the 80... ;)

plus, you only have to do routine maintenance, instead of on the side of a cliff somewhere, at night, with a hurricane moving in, and the indians en route *he he*

I lost my OEM birf due to the PO's total lack of maintenance and 165k miles, (see how rusty it is from NO grease?) the other is now repacked and turning smooth with no problems so far at 175k and some serious locked wheelin'

(just tryin to help ease your mind on the OEM price thang)

We were planing on geting her a cheap car so I can tear into the 80 this summer.
Rust work, rebuild the rear diff, fix the leather driver seat fixed ( the stiching is starting to come apart) and maybe take it off road once this summer. That is if there is time left in the summer.
