Well I got a Midland 75-822 CB radio and was very happy with their vehicle package.
You can look up the radio and see what is so nice about it.
It has an adapter with one cord that splints into two for the power adapter and external antenna hookup.
I found the perfect install on the FJ Cruiser Website. Here is the link:

It pops right off.
Then the next panel snaps right off also:
Which leaves this:
Next I figured out exactly where I wanted the holes drilled. The thing to consider carefully is if there is enough room behind the holes for the 12v receptacle body and the antenna coupling.
I believe I found the perfect place up high on the panel. So I took the panel and clamped it to a piece of 2x4 and drilled my two holes.
Here was the result:
Here are the 12v receptacle and antenna adapter:
I placed the items in the holes and here is that result:
An inside view:
The final fit:
For the wiring, I just will run the wires behind the panels to the carpet area, then under the center console to the drivers side. Hook everything up from there.
Easy as pie!
All the credit goes to the FJ Cruiser Guy.....I just modified it for the 2008 LC!
