That's very cool! I had people send me threats for what I did to mine. I added a 302 with a built AOD and a dana 300. I also installed dana 44s with 4.56s gears. Very good looking stance and I very much regret selling it.
Can never go wrong with a 302 in anything including an FJ

Well the motor was locked up since water somehow got in it.
I found a "numbers matching" replacement motor that is not locked up. Should be installed in a few weekends.

Just what ya need Dan, another rig. Gotta be two dozen by now. Those are cool jeeps (for jeeps). A friend had one a few years ago and he beat it bad and had a hard time killing it. Finally did but it held up with the best of them for a near stock rig.

I found another Dauntless V-6 that is still in a 1968 CJ5. I suppose to go adn drive it tomorrow. If we come to an agreement on Price for the engine, I will be pulling the engine and putting it in my Commando.

First time I saw one of these was in Ouray, CO and two were parked next to each other. They were in prime condition. Next one I saw was being worked on at ACC and I see her zipping that little Dauntless around town every now and then. Cool little Jeeps.
