Hello, wife has a 2007 fj convinience package 2 she had a blow out last night witht eh stock tires (boy are they garbage) and i want to get her a new set of tires, my question is can I fit 33 12.5 17 on it with the factory suspension and rims with no rubbing? I was looking at the pro comp x terrains for her.

The answer is...probably. Most folks have replied that 33's on the stock rims work fine, however there are some that the width can become an issue. The issue is almost always on the drivers side. To be sure have them mount the drivers side front tire and run it through the articulation and see for yourself.

If you don't off-road you should be fine. If you do, a little triming should fix any rubbing. At least that's what I've gathered from everything I've read.

285 70/17s on stock rims are fine
on other rims, it is a crap shoot

supposedly evaluates tire and rim combos and whether they fit under the FJ

Thanks for the help guys. Next question well part of the same. if I level it will the 33's fit even with mild off roading.

I run 285's on the stock rim with no lift and off road it on occasion without any issues. Remember though every manufacturer is different! I run Bridgestone Revo's and never had an issue. I do know guys who run BFG's and rub like mad. See if you can try a test fit at your tire shop.
