Hi everyone,

My name is Arvin. I'm located in the San Dimas/La Verne area. I just posted my rig in the 80 tech forum. I thought it would be nice to post one here too since I'm local. I bought my 93 a month ago as my wife's daily driver. I've been eyeing tlc for quite some time now but I never had the chance. When the opportunity knocked on my door, I just couldn't resists buying this one. I would have prefer a white rig but this one will do. She has 147k on her. Her body is straight as an arrow. The engine is well taken care of by the previous owner. The grey leather interior is okay. There are no tears or rips but it does have the wrinkled and creased on the front and middle row seats. The 3rd row is flawless. The leather gear shift lever needs to be replaced due to wear. I got a quote from a local dealer for $254. It's a bit steep but it will definitely make the interior look a lot better. Other than those minor things, the rig is in great condition. For my first agenda, I plan to change all the fluids and brake lines to stainless steel. I'm already thinking suspension, and I have my eyes set on the OME 2.5" kit but this will be later this year. With no further adu, here she is:

Hope to meet some of you guys around town. :)

Wooo! nice looking truck, but you're right, you preferred white! j/k I do like red.

Welcome :flipoff2:

Laverne is halfway to Big Bear if you're coming from my house! Will your wife let you take her DD out for a mud-spin every now and then?

Be sure to check with CDan on the 80 series board before you pay retail for anything.

:flipoff2: Welcome!

93 with that mileage and looks great - nice score!

Hey Dan - I was about to say the same thing about him being halfway to Big Bear from where I live (had to look where San Dimas was on the map :hillbilly:)!

fj80toyman - my wife uses the rig on weekdays, when weekend comes she is mine. :) I'll keep that in mind when my next purchase of parts. Thank you!

Bluto - thank you. I'm minutes away from Raging Waters. I'm sure you've heard of that. lol...

Call cruiserdan at American Toyota for all your OEM parts. He'll do you better than $254 and probably have it in stock too! See the American Toyota banner in the vendor section. He's at x8. Just be sure to tell him you're from the mud board. You will be instant family and never, never get any better customer service or explanations if you need help.

Brentbba - This is great! I'm lovin' the info. I'll give him a call. Thanks again.

welcome now the addiction will start,, lift, tires, lockers etc..

btw you may want to look into cloth if you are recovering the interior. As for the shifter you can recover it yourself for about 20$ in leather if it bothers you... or get one from an earlier cloth truck where they are rubber/plastic...

Welcome, please empty your wallet as you make your way through.:flipoff2::beer:

Welcome! :flipoff2:
I recommend you forget you ever saw this site and continue blissfully living your life ;) (see Sam's post above)

thank you for all the compliments.

calfj60 - nice year!

A little late but welcome. :flipoff2:
