Hello all,
The other day I drove my FJ40 (Big G) to Advance to get some new plugs, etc. to alleviate some of the roughness emmitting from the engine compartment--the same roughness that contributed to contemplation about parting ways with my rig of 15 years. Back in the parking lot, I saw a couple checking out the inside of my vehicle as if they lost something in there. It became clear very quick that I was dealing with some crazy, LandCruiser fanatics whose knowledge about these beasts far, far outweighs my meager learnings. Anyway, that's how I meant Juan and Maria--they incredibly gave my rig some much needed TLC in the form of a front differential gear lube change (probably the original goo was in there--not far from the truth to say it almost glowed in the dark), cleaning out some residue underneath the valve cover and setting up an authentic, patened WorldCrusier air filtration system. Much thanks to those guys for the help, knowledge and letting me know about the error of even thinking about selling.
Now I've started thinking once again about trying to get Big G looking/running like he deserves--hence, my request. Does anyone know of a sandblaster in Durham NC for paint/NE rust removal from body panels, frame, axels, etc. Thanks for the help and look forward to meeting some of you. Cheers, JPF
