Hello, been watching the forums for about 3 weeks. I was looking at a '91 with a bad crank, but you guys suggested a '93 up, plus the '91 went for $1950 at live auction.

Now looking at one on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4626030703&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3APIC

Are all vehicles on ebay high $$$. This just seems to be my observation.

What do you guys think? What is it worth? I am about 8 hours away so would have to go get it.

Sorry if I sound like an idiot newbie.:)

That vehicle has been in an accident :) Also, it's spent it's entire life in Ohio, which means it probably doesn't look real awesome underneath... Just FYI.

I realize that it has been wrecked. That is no biggie to me, I don't know about the rust issue though, definitely something to consider.

Carfax doesn't really say what kind of wreck. I think you have to do a personal inspection of the rig to see how bad the wreck was... Might try to find somebody on this board in the Cleveland area to go check it out for you. Good luck.

I'm guessing it was struck on the rear passenger corner, just a hunch... :D

I think I would stay away from that one. Have you tried Craigslist? Or Texas (Autotrader shows a lot of LC's in Tejas)?

EDIT: Here's a nice one, the ULTRA-SUPER RARE Land Cruiser Coupe! - http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.j...ed=&end_year=1997&max_price=10000&cardist=800

Toyo do a visual inspection and confirm the F/R differential locks. I've seen that write up before and eBay sellers tend to copy each other's ads, so this truck might not have diff locks and the seller might not even know he's mistaken. Many think the locking center diff = front/rear diff locks.

Welcome anyway:flipoff2:

I thought about the possibility of mixing up center/front, rear lockers. I emailed and asked them specifically, but haven't heard back.

I would love to get one from Texas, or even Colorado where I'm from, but it's a long way away. Maybe I will have to wait until I go home next time and look in CO. I have loved 80's forever and just now they are starting to get cheap enough I might buy one.

Thanks for all the help, I really enjoy this forum, it is the best I've found.

There's this Land Cruiser in KC that's got Lockers (I looked at it before buying the one I have now).

Its been in a wreck on the passenger rear corner but has been fixed. The interior is pretty rough and its got a coolant leak somewhere (my guess is PHH, it started and ran fine so I don't think its the HG, but you never know). The hood paint is also scorched, it was a Texas truck for much of its life.

You could probably get it for $4000 if not a bit less if you wanted and I could take a look at it again for you and take better pics. Its been for sale since November/December 2005.

That looks like a decent deal. It would be great if you could look at it for me. I will contact the guy in the next few days and let you know. I would want to make sure the HG is not the issue. I have the ability to fix it, but I don't really want to, and it would cost more than PHH. What do you mean by 'rough' interior? Stains? Tore up?
I will be going within 3 hours of KS in about a month anyway, maybe I could work it around that trip.
Thanks again, I will let you know.

The power seats need fixing, neither work right, the motors are working but the seats don't move. The leather is pretty beat up inside, but not much worse than what you find on most 80's with leather nowadays. The carpet has also been worn down in a few spots. I can't remember exactly all that was wrong with it on the interior. I don't remember seeing any stains, but I'm not sure.

I think its probably still at a pot lot in Wellsville, KS (they had it on the lot as a favor for the seller).

I'll try to get some pics and whatnot here in the next few days.
