New to the forum but not new to the Lexus forums, just this one.

After searching for one of these for a few months, I got this over Thanksgiving weekend. Had it delivered. It is a 2005 with 72,000 on it now. Carfax confirms mileage. It was a guy’s winter car and kept indoors. The paint is as close to flawless as it can be for a 20 year old vehicle. The interior is perfect. It was a one-owner and very well preserved. It has grey interior.

I added a GROM to it as I love carplay. Added tint to the fronts and the vent shades. Have custom projector beam lights being made, these are taking longer than normal due to a shipping delay on the glass lens replacement lights that are the shell of the new ones.

The wheels are not as good as the paint, some curb rash and crappy tires. I bought some new wheels for it that are from a 2010 Land Cruiser but look just like the ones from the 2006/2007 LX470. Am shopping for tires now, want to preserve the ride and handling but want an all terrain tire. Will probably go with a 275/65/18 or a 275/70/18. Am tempted to try the new K03. Live in the mountains of SWVA and want to be able to take the government roads and stuff with this.

The only thing that is not right with it is the climate control. I tried cleaning the sensor and disconnecting the battery to reset it, made sure the white tube is connected but no luck. Looking for a solution for that.

Had a GX460 before this and loved it but just got tired of driving it and seeing so many of them around. This one is not common at all these days.

Looking forward to learning more about these.

Welcome.. I’ll venture to say that this is the ONLY forum for these trucks.

Nice looking rig. The tint looks very nice. I’m running KO3s, and so far, i like them a lot. They aren’t the smoothest on concrete roads, around Htown, but nice on the highway, great mid point between ATs and MTs.

AHC works as intended?

Yes, the AHC works. I’m assuming that it lowers itself by default once above 25? If that is normal, it is. Wife’s GX has the height control as well (different tech, same features it seems) and that does the same thing. The K03s are on my short list, had K02s on my last GX & they were great for first 35k miles. Noisy after that.
