Hey Gents:

ANyone game?

I'm starting this thread now to solidify the date, time and place if anyone is interested.

Kirk, myself and Tim are all in for this date.

Jimmy Klubens has talked about maybe a day at Badlands. I'm up for the drive and it's a known place.

Any other ideas/options at this point?

Post up and let's see what we can make happen.

[Mark--can you make this a sticky please? Thanks.]

not to hijack, wasn't there a winter run or something?

Onur,

I have new years eve plans and would have to leave New years day am to drive to wherever we wheel. I'm thinking wellsville. our campsite is good through 2008. Charlie is in too.

I will be down south for the big family vacation.

Take some good pics for the forum.

I remember when I broke a birf and locked up my steering in 20 degree weather with wind. We were heating rocks on a exhaust manifold to warm hands.

Cruiser is being put away for mods for the Winter. Way to step up though Onur.

I'm kicking it around. I just bought a used Slee front bumper for the 80:D

where are "badlands"

Onur,
Looks like I will not be driving my Cruiser on new year's day. The short block is together, but there is still the small matter of swapping it into the vehicle.

Hijack: if anybody wants some hands on experience, I am planning on doing the engine swap, rebuilding knuckles & brakes, etc. on new year's day. The truck-less losers (like me) are welcome to come out and get dirty.

Kirk, Onur,

Did you guys go?
Any pics?

Yup we went. No pics. I was sick as a dog and smashed up my winshield....:crybaby: and left early. Got home and got even sicker. :frown:

Where were you KDogg?

I want to see the new bad ass rig you got flyin' around I hear!

My truck is officially off the road today--registration runs out and I've got a lot of parts sitting around needing installs and rebuilds....

Next wheeling trip: Moab or Paragon. Spring 07

Later.

Sorry about the windshield onur. I saw it coming when we went up that trail. Did not think we were going back down it so I did not mention. I had a blast! Was very happy with the improvements ARB Longfields and steering. I pounded the hell out of it to see if it is ready for summer. Great weather too!

Onur, After you left Kevin conquered the chinese waterfall/axle alley for the first. I made it the whole way up the ugly trail where I broke a birf last time! I was very happy about this. That dude with the 86 we met was awesome. He beat the snot out of it! he climbed this hill with us and used about 25% of his tread doing it. I laughed my ass off watching. Looked like a smokey muscle car burning the tires.

Yeah, that turn going up was definitely not 80 series friendly....oh well.

Good run indeed and those guys were pretty cool.

I actually found pics of your rig here from Monday:

It was the guy in the minitruck that we met up with who was taking pics of your rig....

Looks like the investment in the steering and in the front end definitely paid off--you pounded the s*** out of the orange monster!

Going back to bed gents.

Later.

WTF!!! THATS GREAT BUT THE PICS SUCK. I DID NOT EVEN NOTICE HIM SHOOTING. COUPLE OF DECENT SHOTS OF THE UGLY TRAIL THERE!

Onur, since your sick and computing do you want to throw up a few words on the trailrides heading and download 2 or 3 of the best pics?? This would promote BBS and especially show that we wheel our trucks rain or shine!

Kirk

sweet trail

keep me posted, I will try to make the next trailride up there, when I am not
drinking Corona's on the beach:beer:
